Trailing or hanging red amaranthus is a popular choice in arrangements since it brings an interesting texture to floral designs. Hanging amaranthus is a particularly popular ingredient in waterfall and cascading designs and the raspberry red color is special. The length of trails gets better after March/April, they can be several feet long later summer into the fall. Locally California grown there are 10 stems in a bunch. Cut stems upon arrival and have tall clean buckets or vases ready so the trailing part can hang and don’t get damaged.
